From Karatu, Tanzania, on the outer ridges of the Ngorongoro caldera. A washed micro lot of Gesha grown by siblings Neel and Kavita Vohora on their Gaia estate, between 1,650 and 1,800 meters.
Long before Gesha was famous in Panama, it passed through a research station here in Tanzania. Neel traced that line and planted it again on Gaia. The coffee came home.
The cup is quiet and clear. Lemongrass and white tea up front, ripe pear in the middle, honeysuckle lingering at the finish.
